Delete Your Karam Account

You can permanently delete your Karam account at any time. Deletion is immediate and irreversible. Once your account is deleted, it cannot be recovered — you would need to create a new account to use Karam again.

This page explains exactly how to delete your account, what personal data is removed, what records we are legally required to retain, and for how long.

The fastest way to delete your account is directly inside the Karam mobile app:

1. Open the Karam app on your phone.
2. Tap the Account tab in the bottom navigation bar.
3. Scroll down and tap Delete Account.
4. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

When you delete your account, the following personal data is removed from our systems right away:

• Your profile (name, phone number, email address, password)
• Your saved addresses (Home, Work, Other) — these are only ever stored on your device and are cleared on sign-out; account deletion removes any server-side reference to them
• Your Karam Wallet balance (any remaining credit is forfeited)
• Your preferences (language, notification settings)
• Your favorite restaurants and saved items
• Your push notification tokens (so no further notifications can be sent to your device)
• Your support-ticket history and comments
• Your reviews and ratings (removed or anonymised)

Qatar law and financial-record best practice require us to retain certain transaction records after your account is deleted. This is standard for any business that handles payments — we cannot delete records of money that was received or refunded.

The table below lists exactly what we retain, why, and for how long. After the retention period ends, records are either permanently deleted or fully anonymised (all personal identifiers removed).

After 3 years, all personal identifiers are removed from order and payment records. What remains is anonymised — it cannot be linked back to you or used to identify you.

If you cannot access the app for any reason — for example, you no longer have the phone the account was created on, or you have forgotten your password — you can request deletion by email:

• You will be signed out of the app on all devices.
• You can create a new Karam account with a different email address at any time.
• If your account was closed for policy violations, you will not be permitted to re-register (see our Terms & Conditions).
• Restaurants you previously ordered from may retain a record of the order for their own tax and accounting purposes; this record does not include your personal contact information after 3 years.
